KPMG is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Audit Associate to join our Audit practice in Tashkent. As an Audit Associate, you will work alongside experienced professionals on audit engagements for leading local and international companies, gaining hands-on experience in financial statement audits, risk assessment, and internal control evaluation.
- Review prior-year audit documentation to understand clients' business processes, operations, and key risk areas.
- Perform audit procedures on financial statement account balances and transactions.
- Reconcile bank accounts and other financial records with supporting documentation.
- Verify the existence and valuation of assets and liabilities as of the reporting date.
- Prepare and analyze confirmations from banks, customers, suppliers, and other third parties.
- Participate in inventory observations and stock counts.
- Test internal controls and business processes in accordance with audit methodology.
- Analyze financial data and supporting documents to identify discrepancies and potential risks.
- Prepare audit working papers and maintain accurate audit documentation.
- Assist in the preparation of audit reports and client deliverables.
- Communicate findings and issues to senior team members and engagement management.
- Collaborate effectively with audit teams to ensure timely completion of engagements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Up to 1 year of experience in audit, accounting, finance, or a related area. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Fluency in English, Russian and Uzbek.
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Eagerness to learn and build a career in audit and professional services.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Availability to work full-time.
- Willingness to travel for client engagements.
