Senior specialist in Financial Accounting Advisory Services

Job Purpose:

• The Senior specialist in FAAS will support clients in addressing accounting and financial reporting challenges, with a primary focus on IFRS methodology, accounting policies, financial reporting and financial reporting processes improvement. The role involves working closely with client teams to deliver practical, high quality and technically sound solutions, while building strong professional relationships with clients.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in in Accounting/Finance/Economics or related field.
• ACCA and/or CPA qualifications (completed or in progress)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills both in Russian and English (at least upper intermediate level of English and advanced level of Russian).
• 2-5 years of relevant experience in audit, accounting or financial reporting in accordance with IFRS,[BK1]
• Experience in assurance / audit will be considered as advantage.
• Previous Big4 experience in similar area will be considered as advantage.
• Ability to analyze accounting issues, prepare clear deliverables, strong attention to detail, professional judgement and ability to work effectively as a part of team.

General Responsibilities:

• Develop, update, and support accounting methodologies, accounting policies, manuals, and internal procedures in accordance with IFRS.
• Support clients in the preparation and review of financial statements and related disclosures in accordance with IFRS.
• Analyze the impact of new or revised IFRS standards and assist clients with implementation.
• Provide technical accounting support on complex accounting and financial reporting matters.
• Support clients in improving accounting and reporting processes, including reporting workflows and period-end close activities.
• Participate in projects related to the automation and optimization of accounting processes, ensuring alignment with accounting methodology and reporting requirements.
• Prepare technical memos, presentations, and other client deliverables in a clear, accurate, and well-structured manner.
• Work collaboratively with managers and broader engagement teams to deliver high-quality services on time and in line with project requirements.
• Training and mentoring of junior colleagues.
