Project Management Lead for IT Community of Uzbekistan

The IT Community of Uzbekistan is on the hunt for a Project Management Lead to manage our projects, both internal and external, engage our big team of 430+ volunteers, forge and maintain relationships with our numerous partners, which altogether will fuel our mission of technological empowerment and community growth.

This role is essential for our internal collaboration and in expanding our network, securing support for community initiatives, and enhancing our outreach within the tech ecosystem.

You will be responsible for overseeing numerous projects of our community, ensuring efficiency, and aligning our projects with our strategic goals. The role demands a strong focus on project management excellence and community engagement within the tech sector.

Key Responsibilities:

- Work closely with the community leadership to set projects, their goals and tactics, that align with our overall mission and objectives.

- Manage budgeting, resource allocation, and planning to ensure the sustainability of our projects.

- Identify, develop, and manage partnerships with tech companies, educational institutions, and other relevant organizations.

- Negotiate and secure sponsorships and collaborations for events, programs, and community projects.

- Engage volunteers to participate in our online and offline projects through gamification and other means of engagement.

- Lead and mentor a diverse team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

- Coordinate with department leads to ensure synergy across all community initiatives and activities.

- Establish and maintain relationships with partners, sponsors, and other stakeholders to support community operations and development.

- Ensure compliance with legal and professional standards in all community operations and activities.

Ideal Candidate:

- Proven experience in project management, preferably within a community-focused organization and/or in the tech industry.

- Strong project management, organizational and leadership skills, with a proven track record of managing diverse teams.

- Proven experience in building and managing partnerships within the tech sector or related fields.

- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders.

- Adept at budget management, resource allocation, and planning.

- Passionate about technology and community development, with a commitment to fostering a vibrant tech community.

- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

- Excellent communication skills in English, Uzbek, and Russian. Fluency in all 3 languages is required.
