About the Role

CST is seeking an experienced and inspiring Russian Language Teacher to join our international learning community. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality instruction, nurture a passion for Russian language and literature, and support students’ academic and personal growth in a culturally diverse environment. Teaching responsibilities span Grades 1–12 within CST’s Canadian-aligned curriculum and, where applicable, the Nova Scotia program.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and effective Russian language lessons aligned with curriculum outcomes (Grades 1–12).

• Foster literacy, communication skills, and cultural appreciation among students.

• Assess student learning, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate academic data.

• Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that promotes student well-being.

• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and professional learning initiatives.

• Participate actively in school events, co-curricular activities, and community programs.

• Maintain clear, professional communication with students, parents, and staff.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Russian Language, Literature, Linguistics, Philology, or Education.

• Teaching certification preferred; strong subject expertise essential.

• Minimum 5 years of teaching experience (experience in international or bilingual schools is an asset).

• Strong communication, classroom management, and organizational skills.

• Fluency in English required.
