About the Role

Join one of the KPMG Central Asia and Caucasus’ fastest growing Technology practices, advising clients on how to anticipate, withstand and respond to cybersecurity threats. Contribute to market-shaping regulatory and strategy engagements. Build and lead international cross-functional teams, shape go‑to‑market offerings and own relationships with C‑suite stakeholders across financial services, energy, telecoms and the public sector.

Key Responsibilities

Engagement Delivery, Business Development and Market Intelligence:

• Manage 2‑4 concurrent cybersecurity projects (cyber and IT audits, cybersecurity strategy and compliance, cyber defense (SOC effectiveness assessment, SOC/SIEM build).

• Oversee security architecture reviews, penetration-testing coordination, red/blue-team exercises, and incident-response readiness.

• Drive adoption of NIST CSF, ISO 27001/27701, SOC 2, PCI DSS, TIBER-EU and local equivalents.

• Guide secure-by-design DevSecOps and cloud-security reference architectures.

• Implement client solutions in-line with regulatory frameworks and industry standards and requirements.

• Translate technical findings into board-level recommendations and quantified business cases/KPIs/Effectiveness Assessments.

• Shape and execute security strategy, operating model, and roadmap projects.

• Own and drive overall scope, budget, quality, and executive reporting.

• Translate complex technical issues into business insights and action plans relevant to clients and with a strong understanding of regional economic, regulatory and corporate governance requirements and technological complexities

• Coach, mentor, and performance-manage junior consultants and senior associates.

• Train and mentor client-side technical team members

• Enforce Big 4 risk-management, independence, and quality-review protocols.

• Drive business development by growing key client accounts and identifying cross-service line opportunities

• Achieve annual sales and margin targets.

What We’re Looking For

• At least 7+ years of experience acting in a manager or similar role (stream leader, product owner, team leader, service owner, etc.) within complex consulting, technology, IT, transformation, reorganization or projects in large companies as an employee or a member of Big4/Big 3 providing services to large companies

• At least 5+ years leading cybersecurity projects in Big 4 or Big3 consulting companies.

• Proven, hands-on delivery of enterprise-wide security strategy, governance, risk, and compliance projects, involving all Project Management Stages/Activities (Initiation, RFI, Stakeholder engagement, Financial management, Risk Management, Reporting, Change Management, Deliverable Review, Project Closure, etc)

• Proven track record with at least two of the following: cybersecurity strategy design/implementation, cyber defense, red/purple teaming, OT/ICS security, IAM modernisation, regulatory readiness and cybersecurity compliance assessment, incident response, GRC automation.

• Working knowledge of regulatory frameworks and industry standards (e.g., CIS jurisdiction-specific regulatory requirements GDPR, ISO/IEC 27001)

• Professional certifications: CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CISA, CCSP, OSCP or equivalent (minimum one required).

• Multilingual proficiency: English + Russian/Uzbek. Cultural sensitivity and ability to adapt to a new country and communicate across cultural boundaries.

• Excellent client‑facing communication; able to gain trust at CIO / CISO / Audit Committee level.

• Ability to take on constructive feedback and communicate with a solution-oriented mindset.

• Willingness to travel (~20–80 %, project‑dependent).

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline; Masters Degree is a plus.
