Academic Support Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

— Assist the main teacher in preparing lesson plans and instructional materials.

— Provide one-on-one and small group support to students in reading, writing, and comprehension activities.

— Help administer and grade assignments, homework, quizzes, prepare handouts and tests, submit exam results and provide constructive feedback.

— Engage students in discussions and facilitate interactive learning activities.

— Support classroom management and maintain a positive learning environment.

— Monitor student progress and communicate with the teacher about individual student needs.

— Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.

— Invite weakest students’ parents to the center to solve academic issues with the main teacher.

— Call and monitor students’ lessons they must attend in academic support hours.

Required Qualifications:

— Certifications: IELTS 6.5+ (less is not required)

— Experience: not less than 6 months of experience in teaching English

— Language Proficiency: Fluent in English and Russian.

Required Skills:

— Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

— Proficiency in using technological appliances.

— Ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment.

— Flexibility and creativity in teaching approaches.
