An established US healthcare company/multi-service with international presence (Europe, Armenia, Uzbekistan) is seeking an experienced and dynamic Legal Counsel to join our team and focus on international affairs. This role involves navigating complex legal frameworks across multiple jurisdictions and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Company compliance with local, state, and federal laws and maintain proper interactions with the relevant local, state, and federal governmental bodies, and legislatures;
- Legal Counsel in contract execution at all levels;
- Assistance in dispute resolution, debt management, and complaints resolving at all levels;
- Understanding and practicing US Business (Corporate) Law, Labor (Employment) Law, Intellectual Property Law, Health Law, Bankruptcy Law, Tax Law, Civil Rights Law, Dispute Resolution, Arbitration, Insolvency Law, Insurance Law, Media Law, Shipping, Wills, Contracts, Lease, Loans, Dissolutions, etc.;
- Provide legal advice and support on international healthcare regulations, compliance, and policy matters;
- Draft, review, and negotiate different types of contracts related to healthcare services, international partnerships, and agreements;
- Provide legal evaluations when needed;
- Manage legal risks, ensuring all business practices comply with international laws and healthcare standards;
- Represent the company in legal proceedings, if necessary, and manage external legal counsel;
- Stay up to date with changes in healthcare laws and regulations in key global markets;
- Performs other duties as directed by the CEO.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in Corporate Law is a must;
- Law Degree required or equivalent combination of education and work experience;
- Experience in companies with a US or international presence is preferable;
- Advanced level of English is required;
- Proven skills and abilities in results achievement, goal-driven, decision making, good judgment, problem resolution, research and writing;
- Extensive written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills;
- Ability to work on US schedule from 18:00 pm to 03:00 am Tashkent time.
