Senior Electrical Engineer (Low Voltage)

Juru is looking for a Senior LV Electrical Engineer for Transmission & Distribution Engineering practice based in Tashkent. You will be a part of a young and dynamic team working on a wide range of medium and large-scale renewable energy and T&D projects.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop LV distribution block diagrams, cable lists, small power /lighting/earthing layouts, termination diagrams, installation typical hook-ups, and mounting typical drawings;
• Carry out LV switchgear, cable sizing, earthing and lightning calculations;
• Prepare equipment specifications and datasheets & BOQ for substation LV system components, and review vendor and OEM drawings;
• Cable routing and tray arrangement design for industrial buildings and switchyard area;
• Close collaboration with vendors and manufacturers to specify the appropriate electrical equipment and ensure that equipment meets the project requirements;
• Coordinate design activities with clients/stakeholder to maintain project schedules, budget, quality requirements to ensure successful project completion;
• Coordinate with various disciplines, review work done by other team members;
• Advise on new designs, technologies, and construction methods and design change issues;
• Act as a mentor, lead and guide junior engineers in performing delegated tasks;
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders;
• Field visits within projects, if required

Key requirements:

• Bachelor or master's degree in electrical engineering
• 4 years of experience in engineering design
• Good command of English and Russian, both written and verbal
• Strong knowledge of international standards, codes and guidelines (IEC, IEEE, CIGRE, NEC etc.)
• Familiarity with Uzbekistan & CIS codes and standards is an asset
• Independent user of AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft office packages and Google Workspace
• Working experience in ETAP, Cdegs, Primtech software is a big plus
• An ability and willingness to think outside of the box to develop creative and innovative solutions to reduce costs with no impact on quality, reliability, and maintainability
• Ability to carry new design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment/construction
• Good communication, analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skills
• Approachable, a good listener, well organised, diligent, self-motivated, and career-oriented
• Ability to work in a team-oriented workspace and adapt to the new fast-growing dynamic environment
• Open to schedule flexibility that will allow for a variety of shifts as needed as well as potential overtime
• Ability to withstand high pressure and deliver results
