Project management

Project Development, Implementation, and Management functions: a. Function as a key point of contact in the PCUz for programmatic-related issues, responsible for the implementation and coordination of ongoing projects and other project activities relating to the specific programme within the office. b. Establish and maintain contacts with the relevant government officials and state structures as well as civil society institutions; provide support to the government in the implementation of programme-specific projects. c. Analyze and identify urgent project requirements of the country not addressed by other agencies; formulate proposals for those strategic priorities in consultation with the supervisor. d. Design project proposals, contribute to fundraising efforts and implementation of projects approved; coordinate the initiation of project activities with potential project partners and donors. e. Co-ordinate project implementation by identifying problems and proposing specific actions to be taken to expedite delivery of inputs; draft comments on designated aspects of project progress and inputs to project monitoring; draft project revisions, including adjustments to individual project budgets on the basis of changed work plans. f. Facilitate technical support to the government from expert institutions in consultation with the government, the OSCE Project Coordinator in Uzbekistan, the OSCE Secretariat and in co-ordination with international institutions/regional organizations and bi-lateral representations present in Uzbekistan. g. Monitor ongoing project work and collaborate with national stakeholders and counterparts. h. Perform interpretations and translations from and to Uzbek, English and Russian languages as needed. Reporting, Analysis and Advisory functions: i. Based upon a thorough evaluation and analysis of the programmatic sector, prepare recurring or ad hoc reports, overview' and analysis of trends that would affect the project work of the OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Uzbekistan. j. Provide advice to supervisors and local partners as required. k. Attend various OSCE and non-OSCE events, and participate on behalf of the supervisor or OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Uzbekistan in various OSCE and non OSCE events, make authorized statements and provides after-action reports with recommendations for follow up. I. Perform other duties as required.

Main responsibilities: Researching on Global Gender Response Tracker Main task: Gender-sensitive policy analysis and their impact on target groups (Asia)

Responsible for the Monitoring & Evaluation / implementation of the projects (professional training; adult education; prevention of violence among the target groups; working with the victims of violence; human rights for different groups of the population; elaboration of manuals and dissemination): 1. "Prevention of Violent Extremism through education and dialogue, and increasing the resilience of vulnerable groups to radicalization". 2. "Re-entry pathways into society for (ex-)prisoners". • Responsible for monitoring and evaluation/implementation of the project: Prevention of violent extremism through education and dialogue, and increasing the resilience of vulnerable groups to radicalization. • Planning and organization of monitoring visits to 6 partner organizations in 4 project locations. • Developing M&E methodology. • Tracking the effectiveness of held activities and their impact on target groups. • Close engagement with vulnerable groups of the population (migrants or potential migrants; women and children involved in domestic violence; (ex-)prisoners; returnees from the war zones, such as Afghanistan, Syria, Iraq, and their families), strict tracking for the respect of their rights, and search for best practices for their reintegration into the society. • Analyzing data and developing recommendations. • Translating documents, letters; simultaneous translation during the meetings or events (English – Uzbek, Uzbek – Russian, Russian – English). • Writing minutes/reports, drafting documents. • Planning and organization of meetings and activities. • Assisting to project coordinator in the implementation of the project. • Holding official email/phone correspondence with the stakeholders, target groups, and project partners. • Assisting/supervising project partners on project implementation. • Tracking the timely implementation of the project. • Assisting in resolving issues/problems related to project implementation. • Any other duties required for the smooth implementation of the project.
