7. Provide advice to the Financial and Administrative Assistant (PIU, Responsible Party/ies) on the presentation of information on the status of financial resources, document filling system either in paper or electronic form
8. Provide advice to the project staff, Responsible Party/s on UNDP financial rules under the NIM with cash advance transfer modality
9. Provide or facilitate online and in person training for operations/project administrative staff on UNDP NIM financial rules.
10. Provide accurate verification of the quarterly financial reports, introducing them in ATLAS and maintaining ATLAS; support budget revisions and prepares documentation for cash advance transfers after financial reports clearance.
11. Provides financial support to AWP record in ATLAS; ensures budgets are correctly reflected in ATLAS; supports any other project related financial operation and records in ATLAS.
12. Ensuring effective support to project implementation by providing daily support on timely execution of UNDP’s specific support services which include:
- international procurement and payments (specifically related to procurements of the international experts)
- organization of Regional Land Degradation Neutrality Workshop
- implementation of the Innovation Challenge
- Implementation of Micro-scheme support for farmers in cooperation with the Council of Farmers
- national procurement of services (such as capacity development)
- organization of a series of internal training sessions to strengthen the capacity of the Implementing Partner in project management and capacitate the PMU to implement UNDP/GEF funded projects.
- development of the financial reports
- organization of the transportation support services to the PIU through the services of a UNDP supported driver
- implementing targeted capacity building on project management, M&E and reporting requirements for the PIU staff jointly with relevant UNDP’s programme and operations staff at the beginning of the project and later during the project, on NIM rules and procedures.
The internal training sessions will focus on UNDP/GEF procedures, project technical, administrative and financial implementation aspects, aligned with the International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS).
